What this Shorts downloader does

YouTube Shorts are vertical clips up to three minutes long. The app lets you watch them endlessly but gives you no way to keep a copy for offline viewing, for a presentation or for your own editing project. EasyDownloads fills that gap: you paste a Shorts link, we check which versions YouTube actually has for that clip, and you get a regular MP4 file that plays on any phone, computer or TV.

The picture and the sound are joined into one file without re-encoding, so the video stays exactly as sharp as the version YouTube streams. The clip keeps its original 9:16 frame — nothing is cropped, stretched or letterboxed. If you only need the soundtrack, the same list offers audio-only M4A and MP3.

How to download a Short on your phone

  1. In the YouTube app, open the Short, tap Share (the arrow icon) and choose Copy link.
  2. Open easydownloads.net in Safari, Chrome or any other browser and paste the link into the field at the top of this page.
  3. Wait a second or two while we read the clip details, then pick a quality — 1080p is preselected whenever YouTube has it.
  4. Tap Download. On iPhone the file goes to Files → Downloads; open it and choose Share → Save Video to add it to Photos. On Android it lands in the Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery.

How to download a Short on a computer

  1. Open the Short on youtube.com and copy the address from the browser bar — it looks like youtube.com/shorts/…
  2. Paste it into the field on this page. The analysis starts automatically.
  3. Choose a video quality or an audio format from the list.
  4. Click Download. The file is named after the Short’s title, so it is easy to find in your Downloads folder.

Honest limits

  • Quality: vertical video up to 1080p with sound — never more than the uploader published. If a Short was uploaded in 720p, 720p is the best you can get, and we will not pretend otherwise.
  • Only public and unlisted Shorts can be saved. Private clips, members-only content and age-restricted videos that require signing in are not available.
  • Live streams cannot be downloaded while they are still running.
  • Finished files stay on our server for a few hours and are then deleted automatically.

Most often the clip is private, age-restricted, members-only or has been removed. In that case we show a clear message with the reason. Check that the link opens without signing in to YouTube.
