Rutube Video Downloader

Download any public Rutube video or Short in MP4 format for free. Paste the Rutube link and save — no registration, no software to install. Works with regular horizontal videos and vertical Rutube Shorts.

Why our Rutube downloader

1

Videos & Shorts

Download both regular horizontal Rutube videos and vertical Shorts in the best quality the author uploaded. Rutube delivers video as an HLS stream split into hundreds of small segments — our server fetches them all and reassembles them into one complete file, so you get a finished video rather than a pile of fragments.

2

MP4 with no conversion

Every download is saved as an MP4 file with H.264 video, which opens in the stock player on any device — phone, tablet, PC, or TV. Nothing to transcode and nothing extra to install: the file simply plays.

3

Full-length videos

Lectures, films, stream recordings, and multi-hour episodes download in full, with no time cut-off. There is no duration limit — the server processes the whole video however long it runs.

4

Audio in sync

Rutube stores the audio track separately from the video. We merge the two with ffmpeg while preserving the original timings, so the sound in the finished file neither drifts ahead nor lags behind — the usual failure of makeshift downloaders.

5

No account needed

No Rutube account or registration is required: public videos are available anonymously. Paste the link and press Download — we never ask for a login, a phone number, or a confirmation code.

6

Works on all devices

The downloader runs in an ordinary browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — on PC, Mac, iPhone, and Android. No app, no extension, and no desktop program required.

Rutube downloader FAQ

Open the video on Rutube and copy the link from the address bar — it looks like rutube.ru/video/xxxxxxxxxxxx/. Paste it into the field above and click Download. The server fetches the video, assembles it into an MP4, and hands you a download link for the finished file. A regular clip takes a few seconds; a long one can take up to a minute.

Exactly the same way as on a computer. In the Rutube app tap Share → Copy link, open EasyDownloads.net in your phone browser, paste the link, and tap Download. On Android the file lands in the Downloads folder; on iPhone it goes to Files or Photos, depending on your Safari settings.

Yes, Shorts are supported on equal footing with regular videos. A Shorts link looks like rutube.ru/shorts/… and differs from a normal one, but the tool recognises both formats automatically — just paste whatever you copied, there is no need to work out which type of link it is.

We take the highest quality available for that particular video. Most often that is 720p or 1080p; some archive clips and Shorts cap out at 480p. You cannot get more than the author uploaded — if a video was posted in 480p, no downloader will produce a 1080p copy of it.

There are three common reasons. The video is private or link-only — those require the owner's authentication and cannot be downloaded. The video was deleted or is region-blocked, in which case it will not open on Rutube itself either. Or the copied link points to a channel or a search results page rather than a video — check that the address contains /video/ or /shorts/.

No. Only public videos can be downloaded — the ones that open without signing in. Private and restricted videos are protected by the owner's authentication, and we will not work around it. A quick test: open the link in a private window — if the video plays, it will download.

EasyDownloads.net is an online downloader: all the work happens on our server and all you need is a browser. No programs, no extensions, no registration — paste a rutube.ru/video/… link and press Download to get a finished MP4 on your computer or phone.

Yes, the audio track is carried over as-is, without being re-compressed. That is usually AAC at 128–192 kbps — exactly what Rutube itself serves. Downloading adds no further quality loss.

Rutube's terms of service do not permit redistributing content you have downloaded. Saving a public video for your own offline viewing is what most people use a downloader for, but the copyright stays with the video's owner — so do not re-upload, sell, or publish the file elsewhere. How you use what you download is your responsibility.

Rutube is Russia's largest video platform and the closest local equivalent to YouTube. Federal TV channels, newsrooms, entertainment studios, and independent creators publish their broadcasts and archives there. The platform has grown considerably in recent years, and for many viewers in Russia it is now the primary one.

Yes. The service is completely free: no registration, no payment, and no cap on how many videos you download. We do not ask for access to your accounts, and we do not keep downloaded files longer than it takes to deliver them to you.
