The useful question is not simply “Why did downloading fail?” but “At which stage did it fail?” Link analysis, media processing, browser saving and playback are separate steps. Match the displayed error to the stage before trying again. Repeated requests will not fix a private video, a removed post or a platform blocking the service’s server.
Record the stage and the message
Note whether EasyDownloads.net rejected the URL, could not list formats, stopped during processing, or produced a file that the browser could not save. Record the displayed error category and approximate time. This is more useful than immediately changing several settings or deleting your browser data.
The normal path is to paste one authorized public video link, wait for analysis, select an actually available format, start processing and save the result. If analysis never completed, there is no reason to diagnose your media player yet. If saving completed, return to playback checks rather than submitting the same job again.
Invalid, missing and restricted links
For INVALID_URL, open the original video and copy its sharing URL again, removing any surrounding message text. Use an individual video, not a profile or playlist. For NOT_FOUND, check for an incomplete address or a post removed by its creator; a deleted source cannot be restored by another attempt.
PRIVATE, LOGIN_REQUIRED, AGE_RESTRICTED and MEMBERS_ONLY describe access barriers. Watching in your signed-in app does not transfer permission to the downloader server. Use your own original, an official export or a creator-provided copy. Do not submit personal cookies or passwords, and do not change sensitive content to public just to troubleshoot.
Platform blocks and temporary interruptions
PLATFORM_DOWN can mean the platform blocks requests from our server even though the video plays on your device. Open the service status page. A green check elsewhere does not guarantee this particular post, while a known outage is a reason to stop retrying. This guide does not announce YouTube recovery.
For a temporary network interruption, first check your connection and whether a job is still processing. If the service gives a retry delay, follow it. After conditions improve, one new attempt may be reasonable; if the same error returns, stop and keep the error details. Changing your local network does not necessarily change the downloader server’s access.
Unavailable formats and size limits
For FORMAT_UNAVAILABLE, choose another format that analysis actually offers. Do not assume every video has 4K or every source exposes audio. If all usable formats are unavailable, repeated selection will not produce them. DRM-only media is not a supported workaround.
The documented limits are up to three hours per job, and above 1080p only for videos no longer than thirty minutes. Trimmed fragments are limited to ten minutes for video or sixty minutes for audio. Live streams and playlists are not supported. A lower offered quality or shorter permitted fragment can help a size problem, not an access restriction.
Browser saving and playback checks
For a browser disk-full error, free space by removing only files you no longer need. For a save-permission problem, choose a folder your account can write to. Inspect the browser’s downloads list for a paused or incomplete transfer. Do not disable security protection merely to silence a blocked-file warning.
If a fully saved video will not play, its codec may be unsupported even when its extension is MP4. Try a trusted compatible player or another offered compatible format; renaming the extension does not convert the video. When asking for help, include the stage, error category, format, device and time, but exclude credentials and sensitive private links.
