Why private videos cannot be downloaded here
Understand private, login-gated and deleted videos, why your account access does not transfer, and safe official alternatives for your own files.

If a video plays in your account but a downloader cannot access it, the two systems may have different permissions. EasyDownloads.net does not inherit your followers, subscriptions or signed-in browser session. Before changing anything, identify whether the content is public, private, login-gated, deleted or simply unreachable from the service’s server.
Public, unlisted and private are different
Public content can be visible to anyone, but that is not a guarantee of download permission or technical availability. Private content is limited to selected viewers or approved followers. A copied share URL does not remove that restriction: Instagram explicitly notes that links to private-account posts remain visible only to followers.
On YouTube, unlisted videos are different from private videos: anyone with the unlisted link can view and reshare it under the platform’s rules. Do not generalize that behavior to every service. A link intended for a limited audience should not be posted publicly as part of a support request.
Why watching does not prove server access
Your app may use an authenticated session, membership or age verification. The downloader’s request is separate and does not carry those permissions. Even if you created the video, ownership does not automatically make a remote fetch possible. EasyDownloads.net does not sign into your personal account to retrieve it.
A login screen is also not conclusive evidence of privacy. A platform may require login for some visitors or block automated traffic from a server address. If the error says the platform is unavailable on our side, check the service status instead of changing your privacy settings. This is not a claim that YouTube access is restored.
Separate missing content from restricted content
An incomplete link can point to a missing page. A deleted video is no longer supplied by the platform at that address. Recopy the original post URL once if you suspect truncation; if the creator removed the video, repeated download requests cannot recover it.
Age restrictions, paid membership and regional access rules are different barriers, but none is solved by selecting another file extension. Do not use this service to bypass those controls. If you are unsure whether the creator allows saving, ask before proceeding rather than treating browser playback as consent.
Use a legitimate route to your file
For your own work, first check the camera roll, editing project and backups. These can preserve a better original than the platform’s compressed copy. Where the platform provides account export or a download option for your uploads, use it directly on the official site.
YouTube documents downloading your own uploads through YouTube Studio and exporting uploads with Google Takeout, subject to its restrictions. That is separate from third-party downloading. Offline viewing inside a platform app is not necessarily a transferable MP4 file. For someone else’s content, ask the creator for an authorized file or an official download link.
Protect the account and choose the next step
Never send session cookies, passwords, two-factor codes or recovery codes to a downloader or in a support message. Cookies can represent a signed-in session. Do not make sensitive personal videos public just to test a download tool; use the original or an approved export instead.
For authorized public content, paste one video URL into EasyDownloads.net, wait for analysis, choose an actually offered format and save the completed result. If access fails, keep the error category and check status. Rights to save a copy do not automatically include redistribution or reuse in another project.
